You definitely want a curved one. Most Fender guitars have a 7 1/4 inch fretboard radius and Gibson's usually have a 12 inch radius. The smaller the radius the greater the curvature of the fretboard. The only kind of guitars that have flat fretboards are nylon string classical and flamenco guitars.

You want to buy a capo with a curve in it, as your guitar's fingerboard has a curved radius on it. If you got a flat one, most of the strings, except the third and fourth, would sound extremely dampened and dull, because the capo would only be putting pressure on those. However, If you have a classical guitar, with a flat fingerboard, you want to get a flat capo, for the same reason. I'd recommend Kyser capos.

DO NOT BUY A WITTNER! I have a James Burton Signature telecaster and used one of their Capos on it, and the side of the neck is all scratched and some of the lacquer got scraped off. Your probably best off with a 'Jim Dunlop Electric Trigger Capo' or one of their other models the 'Victor Capo'. Heard nothing but good things about the first one, but if it looks to bulky the other one many be for you.

Both are on this page, and if you order before 6pm I'm pretty sure you get next day delivery as standard, can't remember though, cos I usually buy sets of strings in bulk from so I haven't bought any in a while.
