Before replacing the clutch you need to ask yourself a few questions as to why you think that the clutch is shot.#1.where does the clutch engage if it engages halfway of the clutch pedals travel or less then the clutch is not worn out if the clutch pedal goes all the way to the top of it's travel or very close to that point it MIGHT be worn out,#2. does the clutch slip when you are driving if it does then it MIGHT be shot,#3. Does the clutch chatter (MAKE NOISE OR VIBRATIONS) when shifting gears or when you step on or let off the clutch pedal then the clutch is PROBABLY SHOT Replacing a clutch involves removing the vehicles transmission, bell housing, transmission crossmember and the old clutch setup plus supporting the engine while the transmission is out.If you have a place where you can do it the correct tools besides sockets and wrenches.Buying a "HAYNES" manual for your vehicle will give you the step by step instructions you should be able to find one at a major auto parts store like "AUTOZONE" "AUTOZONE" can also sell you the new clutch setup in a buy everything in one box package and all the parts are matched. It's not impossible but if you have no experience doing such a job they you could end up with a undrivable vehicle or at worst severly injured or dead if the vehicle falls on you.Having a friend or two helping you is always a good idea as the transmission itself is quite heavy and awkward to handle by yourself. If you feel confident in your mechanical skills and have all the proper tools and equipment which includes 2 floor jacks ONE TO SUPPORT THE ENGINE WHILE THE TRANSMISSION IS OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND ONE TO RAISE THE VEHICLE AND THEN HELP YOU LIFT THE TRANSMISSION IN AND OUT OF THE VEHICLE,four heavy duty jackstands to support the vehicle,A good shop light so you can see what you are doing easier and a clutch alingment tool WHICH SHOULD COME IN THE BOX IF YOU BUY A ALL IN ONE CLUTCH KIT.One other thing to be concerned about the flywheel may require resufacing if it is worn unevenly or has many cracks. If when you remove the old clutch setup the flywheel will be visible and unless the the part of the flywheel where the clutch contacts is not nice and shiny then the flywheel has to be removed and taken to a automotive machine shop to be resurfaced. If you put a new clutch on a warped flywheel it will chatter every time you let the clutch out and the new clutch disc will wear out quickly and then you will be doing the job over way before you normally would.A lot of mechanics have the flywheel resufaced when replacing the clutch just to prevent a possible problem and a customer comeback.

what you really need is a repair manual on it,one will help you way better than a web site, it will also have illustrations in that shows you certain things you have to do,if you don't have the proper tools to do this with i wouldn't attempt it,you need a good work space and a real good transmission jack, and it has to be pretty high in the air to get the transmission away from it,so if you don't have all tools needed to work with its going to be a hard job to do,good luck on it,

if you don't know how to do that, you most likely don't have the tools or skills need for such a repair job. Take it to a garage have a professional do the job.

Go buy a Haynes or Chiltons manual for your car. ($25.00)

It's the best money you could spend on it.

if you have to ask, don't do it. It is easier on a lift using a trannyjack and air tools.
