I have a wonderful mother, but my dad was alcoholic and when he was drunk he used to become very abusive. However, my mother handled the situation properly and never abandoned him and brought up all her children very well. I am very pround of my mother.

I had a childhood where I seen things that I shouldn't have even seen as an adult...and now that I'm an adult and have my own children...I won't let them be exposed to those things...but there were parts of my childhood that were great too...and I know that everything that happened in my childhood created what I am today...so i'm thankful for all the good and bad that happened.

Yes i had a wonderful childhood I'm lucky because a good childhood puts you in good stead for adult hood

No I had a terrible childhood, but my children have had a great one because I would never subject them to what I went through. My mother was a bully and never got to see my kids, she died last year and only then did I feel free from her.

Yes and no. My summers were filled with being at camp with my grandmother, but during the rest of the year I had to look after a sickly mother. Not her fault, just one of those things. My parents were good to me and taught me the true values a child needs to know.

The same here. I had a very happy childhood. It was when I got older that things turned to crap.

nope mine was horrid and i wish i could go back in time and stand up for myself or run away earlier than i did,im still having therapy because of it. youre very very lucky to have a wonderful mum and dad.x
