Yes, he is my best friend and always has been. First experience wasn't great and has no bearing on our friendship today.. This is a frienship I would never give up for anyone. Every one in our lives knows we are close and always have been.

I'm only 20 years old. My first love was my childhood sweetheart who lived down the road. I had a crush on him since I was 6. We were on and off for a few years and were very serious at one point, but his parents divorced, and we did the long distance thing for a year. We had a disaster for an ending. I haven't heard from him since I was 17. He didn't want to talk to me anymore.

It has had a good effect on me, because I learned how to end things on good terms.

Good experience and we keep in touch, (every few years). It does have to do with a bond. I wasn't a casual relationship.

It was great! I moved away, than 7 years later saw him again...... He was a police officer and I could never imagine having a life with a cop, so that was 14 years ago, and I haven't heard from him since.

Sometimes we talk. He moved to California. So we do not see eachother much. But he comes to visit his family every so often. It wasn't a bad experience.
