Well I've been guilty of being selfish in the past as I'm sure we all have at times but I would rather give to others, especially family and friends and anyone who I know needs it and/or would really appreciate it :)

I'm so glad you added that extra sentence. No not selfish but love to give to others. Lend a hand if noT only here but oTher places. You gotta feel good abouT yourself before you can help oThers. You have to feel right with yourself before you can help others. RighT now I am the T ype of person who likes to listen and observe and give my opinions.

I try not to be - it is always better to give than receive.
Case in point: I just finished spending the weekend helping my sister with her 18 year old son's combination Graduation and going into the army party. Cooking, refereeing and spending the night in order to ensure that no one got hurt or drunk.
I am exhausted, but it was well worth it even though my own family was missing me and my husband is a little miffed with me.

I'm selfish. I give myself a hard time for it too. I try really hard not to be and everyone says that i'm not. The reason they usually say that is because they don't know my reasoning for why i do it, so i may be a little hard on myself too i don't know!

I think I'm somewhat selfish but I think everyone is to an extent. People usually always think of theirselves first, but I also love to be able to give to others if I can.

Selfishness can be a virtue [as per Ayn Rand] - in that one must place the well being of self first in order to be of maximum benefit to another - e.g., health, stability etc.
Once that is in place generosity of spirit and time to others is paramount!!
