I think he really terrifies some people. He has a good shot at being our next President if not in the next election, then in eight years. Some people just see his name or look at his race without even reading about, researching, or even watching his political views on television and then make assinine comments about him. These kind of Americans ruin it for the rest of us who really care...

Limbaugh and Murdock are frustrated by Obama because he hasn't been in politics long enough to have made lots of stupid mistakes that they can rant abou. So, they either:
a. attack his personal life, or
b. if they can't find enough dirt on his personal life, they find other insulting things to say, which are generally even more idiotic and benane.
This sort of thing happens a little bit with Democrats and Fred Thompson, for the same reasons (although they haven't started calling him a terrorist yet.)

Obama is doing a great job of attacking himself - he needs no help! I agree that race and religious preference should not be made an issue but it always is - look at Romney and remember when Jack Kennedy was the first Catholic to run for president? You would have thought the world was coming to an end!

The magic ***** comment came from the NYT. Limbaugh ran with the magic ***** thing because of the absurdity of the comment.
Obama's politics are way to the left of most candidates and should be attacked for what they are. I don't think Murdock called Obama a terrorist, that was something taken out of context. No one really cares that Obama is black, but his politics would destroy the country as we know it.

Because it is easier to attack superficial things (like his name and race) instead of investing time and energy to finding out his stance on relevant past, present and futures. Unfortunately we you look at how polticians are selected in big races such as Presidential races, most Americans will vote on their "gut feel" for the person with little regard for that candidates documented personal beliefs and accomplishments.

Limbaugh is a complete idiot.. I would like to know some of his history.. his ancestors.. what does he have to hide, I wonder.
Murdock is no better.. just a talking head.. someone who has this childish need for attention and so says outrageous things to get it. how juvenile.
not to worry.. no one really listens and those that do.. well they are on the same level.. stupid!

I suppose the fact he grew up in a Muslim household, goes to some fanatcial church now and has the name Hussien is going to attract some attention. Add to it that he was a druggie and drank endless amounts of aclohol until the age of 20 or so and can't seem to kick the smoking habit means he has addiction problems which speaks for a weakness in character. We all have them but we aren't all running for president. And now he has George Soro's money backing him up really has eyebrows raising as their isn't anything good that comes from Soro's. So it's only understandable in election times for people to question such activities. They are doing it to the Republicans also.

I think he just provided the opportunity for his opponents to do just that by suggesting an invasion of Pakistan. The fact that conservatives do as much inane name calling as liberals doesn't mean that they also don't attack Obama on his views. I've read a few conservative columnists who do just that; some without even without calling names.

Actually addressing the merits of the argument would require far more though and time than many people are willing to invest. It's far easier to make mindless attacks than to think.

Apparently those things really work for 'right wingers'. Like that immigration thing. When people are introduced to 'path to citizenship' they'll say 'oh ok.' But when it is portrayed as 'amnesty' they'll say 'hell no!'
They probably know it is stupid, but they also know those stupid things do lot to sway idiot voters in elections.
It's basically marketing gimmick. Don't by Coke, buy Pepsi. Christina Aquirela drinks Pepsi!
