so i FINALLY meet a great guy that i like alot. Hes smart, caring, very attractive and is very goal-orinented.

BUT.....

Last night he told me that his ex-wife gave him an STD. He also told me that he had it cleared up and it is no longer there. I know STDs cant be cured forever, but I dont want to be SHALLOW and stop talking to him just because he revealed that he has an STD. I am scared to have sex or to get intamit with him but im not sure what i should do. Ive never had to deal with anything like this before.

What should i do?

STD's can be permanently cured...

just stop having sex with him, and find someone else... you will probably stay paranoid... move on...

Well that is somewhat untrue. All STD's are not curable. HPV, HSV, HIV/AIDS are considered STD's and are treatable but not curable. If you don't feel comfortable being intimate with him then don't. Obviously you need to end the relationship, why be with someone if you aren't comfortable. Plus I'm sure he doesn't want to be with someone who makes him feel diseased and is scared of being with him.

if hes clear you are ok. that is called old term VD. well it can be anything. that means she was playing around with alot of people and you can get hiv with this mess. it can be cured and he told you this that was good and honest. you dnt' have to worry unless he fools around with her again. if he doesn't well hes fine. you will be fine as look as hes clear.
