I know those days of watching cartoons like the Flintstones, Bugs Bunny...I don't remember what day it was on or time though. But Sat. mornings, we had a rigid schedule, us kids, of cleaning on Sat... Now when I happen to tune into an old cartoon it is just not the same feeling anymore. But for a substitute what I found to get excited about is the net (stuff like Youtube for instance), because you can just go on it when you find the spare time or want to feel uplifted. Stuff like music videos, or comedy/soaps from around the world. I find some of that British comedy to be a really good laugh, good luck.

You must have been in the Pacific Time Zone. I remember waking up at 5 AM for cartoons.

I remember doing that. When my mom worked at a bakery she would wake me up getting her coffee ready every morning so I would wait for her to leave then watch the Smurfs!

Sure do! Of course I also remember my brother and I laughing too hard and my mother getting up totally PO'd and shutting the TV off and sending us back to bed! (She wasn't a morning person, that's for sure!!) Needless to say, we eventually learned how to laugh VERY QUIETLY!!!

i have two children and nothing has changed. And you know,it's amazing how well kids supervize themselves. You're asleep, the wife's asleep. You'd think they'd burn the house down somehow. But I get up and everything's fine. Amazes me,and it used to amaze my Dad too,as I recall. Funny...normally we were so incorrigible.
