Evolution and atheism have not hurt anyone. Can your religion make that claim?

Religion is more harmful! Never, in the history of mankind, has anybody gone to war because he doesn't believe in a god. Vikings, Normans, Romans, Ancient Greeks, Egyptians etc. etc. all went to war with their powerful gods behind them. Today, the battle is between Muslims and Christians. As long as a person believes in right and wrong, good and bad etc. he / she should lead a good life. However, I can never understand how any religion that is supposed to believe in the good, forgiving others, helping others etc. etc. can kill others in the name of that religion. Therefore, an Atheist is an Atheist but a Muslim, Christian etc. is a Hypocrit.

In your opinion atheism may be harmless but I happen to know for a fact that having a religion is good therapy and is healthy. People who have religion recover from depression much quicker than people who don't.
And evolution has a few holes in it. Don't get me wrong, parts of it are true but parts of it are false as well.

Evolution is an idea. As is Christianity. Neither, in and of themselves, have hurt anyone.
It's the butt-hole idiots that adhere fanatically to ideas that hurt other people. In fact, evolution-minded Nazi scientists did LOTS of things to people they thought were "inferior" in the name of natural selection and science (i.e., social Darwinism).

I am an atheist, but these questions are retarded.
"Religion" has not hurt anyone. Extremists who misinterpret and twist their religion have.
I don't think it's fair to somehow deningrate an entire religion and its followers because of isolated incidents.
IMO people can worship whatever they want and I can choose to *not* worship whatever I want. Win-Win everyones happy, the end.

Yeah it is my personal opinion that religion is MORE dangerous. I also think it is contributing to alot of the worlds problems right now!!!
