ewww - i will't be responsive to how all people could desire to devour on the spot mashed potatos! i'm definately a house made mashed potatoes woman! I mash them up with butter, milk, salt and a sprint of gin (makes them white and fluffy). in the event that they are happening staggering of something (ie shephards pie) then I upload some cheese to the blend and allow it soften in. If i'm feeling fancy i'll replace the milk for some bitter cream and upload some chopped chives - yet I in many situations choose them common!

I like homemade. I keep instant on hand to thicken soups, but that's about it. And I like the Betty Crocker ones.

Home made
I make mine with 50/50 potato/sweet potato and add garlic (that I have cooked with the potatoes to soften it) chives and grated cheese
Butter only, no milk, unless the cheese makes it too thick
