The Duckworth Lewis Method (D/L Method) is used to calculate the target score for a team batting second when the game is interrupted by rain etc.

You probably mean the Duckworth- Lewis method, but thats only used in one day matches.

Well it is the number of runs scored by the opposite team devided by the number of overs, giving you the target score per over.
