not enough space?

When attempting to drag a CD to my portable device (RCA M4002), I get an error stating "There is not enough space on your portable device to complete this transfer. Please remove some tracks and try again." I only have eight songs on the device. How do I fix this?

In which format are the songs on the CD? What is the capacity of your portable device. If you really feel that space isn't the issue, you may need to re-format your portable device.

maybe you should try deleting some of the old thing you don't listen to anymore.
