I have often wondered the same thing, lol, I guess humans do some of the stupidest things............

I duck because I wear glasses. It keeps a lot of the water off of them.
For everyone else: They don't have an excuse. They see other people (glasses wearers) and they follow them. It's a huge game of follow the leader!

i think it's just reflex. like blinking aginst the wind. they try to protect their eyes so that they can see. and maybe take most of the hit on their back.

they must not like it, lol. it looks kinda depressing so i dont really do that all the time. i think its a way of trying to protect our face
