Yes. I would recommend viewing the first two Bourne movies in order to understand Jason Bourne's motive for finding out who he is and why. Each movie gives a piece of his story. Watching the third film will just give you the ending result his journey. You'll be missing Jason discovering his talents from the first film and him dealing with those talents in the second film.

I don't think so because on Ebert & Roper they say bourne ultimatum focuses on the 1st and 2nd won. But you should probably watch 1 and 2 just in case. But U know you could also go see a movie twice. I mean only if U want 2.

Yes- they were books written by Robert Ludlum. Also after that comes the Bourne legacy and the Bourne betrayal. Also in the works is a game called the Bourne conspiracy.

You would need to see the first two to understand how he got where he is. You need to get the story, especially what he has been involved in and why. Without watching them first, you just won't grasp it. Hire them from a rental shop before seeing Supremacy.

i agree with ken d. the third one has its own plot, but it would be kind of confusing to you without watching supremacy because you wouldn't know who some of the characters are (several new characters are introduced in the supremacy). you'll definitely want to watch them both sometime. they're both great movies. enjoy.

Yeah actually you should cause it will make more sense with the older refrences and the jobs that he already accomplished as well as the names they throw around in the movie.
So while you dont have to, it would make it more understandable and enjoyable

No, you don't "Need" to see it, but seeing the first 2 would help you understand the third better.
