I have to watch White Sox games with the sound down. I can't stand him. His cliches are a nussaince, constantly whining about the umpires. He's horrible.

Did he really let a "gott dammit? slip? LOL That's too funny. My brother-in-law and I were joking about that once, saying wouldn't be great if he let one slip? And he really let one go! Sorry I missed it.

I couldn't agree more. I was excited to see the Blue Jays on tv, and have never seem a WGN broadcast. He drove me out of my mind. Being a non-Sox fans, I have no idea who "Razor" is (possibly Uribe), and had to think on who "Podsy" was - Scott Podsednik. The "Rack 'em Up" phrase for double plays is just as annoying as his "Be Gone!" for strike outs.
My favorite announcer is the voice of the Buffalo Sabres - hockey -, Rick Jeanerette.

He is the worst announcer I have ever heard annoying corny irritating and worst of all he thinks everyone watching is a white sox fan with stupid sayings like one for the good guys none for the bad guy and when talking about the sox always saying WE a normal announcer does not show favotitism. I don't know how he keeps his job

He said "dag dummit". He did not let the expletives fly. But he is brutal to listen to. He is a circus clown in the booth. Don't be fooled. Us die hard Sox fans don't like him either. We want a decent guy in the booth. He is not the answer. If only they could find a way to get him to retire....
But he is not the worst - Ron Santo is the worst. But he is radio. So maybe Hawk for TV, Santo for Radio.
Chicago teams deserve better than they get.

If Harrelson isn't the worst, I shudder to think of how bad must be the guys who rate below him.
Consider, though, that Harrelson is a better announcer than he was the White Sox' general manager. Yeah -- THAT bad.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but he is such a "homer" it's fun to listen sometimes.
I loved it when the bullpen blew yet another save a few weeks ago and he let a "gott dammit" slip out, great stuff!

I think the Yankees broadcast team pretty much takes the cake for the worst announcers.

I save that honor for Joe Buck who seem to think he's on the E Channel instead of a major league baseball game. 2ND honor goes to Gary Cohen who acts as if he has an orgasm every time the Mets score a run.
