That was loaded with questions! I'm going to try my best to answer them all, sorry if I dont! My mom was addicted to Xanax for years and she is currently in the process of "weening" herself off of them... Im sorry to hear about your mom... I can totally relate!
"Is there something wrong with me thats making me think something is wrong if there isnt?"
--- No way. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. You have watched your mom become addicted to them and have watched her stop using them. You are completely justified in taking a second look on how she is acting... and you very well may be right. Xanax is a pretty tricky drug.
"What are some signs I can look for in her to tell if something is wrong and she is taking Xanax?"
--- If she has an extreme in emotions, one minute is upset and the next she is not, if she seems shaky, her eating habits have changed, etc. You will be able to tell. If affects everyone differently... keep an eye on her, if you think she is taking something... she probably is.
"What are some ways I can make myself stop worrying so much?"
--- Talk to your mom about it. Instead of bringing it up with your brother, confront your mom directly. If she has started taking it again, she probably doesn't want to keep doing it but is having trouble stopping. You could be a really big help for her to get on the right track. Just approach her non-confrontationally and be sure she knows you are truly just concerned.

Good Luck Sweetie!
