She writes on my underwear normally because she is afraid that my sister will use it, because I definetly won't lose it at home. (though with the state of my room.... who knows?

Hey, it is a RITE of summer for children to have their MOMS write their Name in all their Clothes -- from Underwear to Socks to Shoes and Swimsuits, Shirts, Towels, Shorts and Jeans ... and everything else inbetween!

We, the MOMs of America (and the world over) ... but especially Long Term Single Moms (like I was) work VERY HARD at our jobs every day to be the ONLY income supporting our children ... and we know that they will lose things .. this just makes the loss LESS Likely (if there is a name on it -- it will be returned!). To put a $ value on the losses -- let's just say that I spent a LOT of money not just on the camp itself, but the things going to the camp -- from tents to camp chairs to mess kits, etc. Thousands of dollars -- and you know what -- I don't like to have things stolen or lost and (sadly enough) kids NEVER Appreciate the amount of work and sacrifice that we parents make!

I've never been to camp, but I do remember being in elementary school and my mom writing my name on EVERYTHING, by everything I mean like all of my pencils, including colored pencils, she was nuts. I just felt embarrassed because all the kids made fun of me, it doesn't stop them from taking it form ya. I'm never doing that to my kids I can tell ya that! I can understand if you don't have the money, but my parents are able to pay for my college out of pocket without any loans... so I think buying 2 packs of colored pencils per year wouldn't be that big of a deal to them.
