Linux is free (costs nothing), more stable (less crashes) and more secure. Linux does not suffer from virus and spyware problems like Windows does. In fact Linux hardly has any viruses. And that's not like "Oh well, not very often, you know". That's like "If you've ever heard of a real Linux virus, please tell me". Of course, a Linux virus is not impossible to get. However, Linux makes it very hard for this to happen. You can use it without installing it if you choose a livedistro.

Yes avg is very popular and free, this is the 1 you should go for and can get from the sites already mentioned or google it.
But don't delay your computer is at risk without anti-virus. I would also recommend downloading spybot search and destroy for getting rid of any spyware. This is a fantastic free download and a must for getting rid of all those nasty spyware programmes, its easy to install and use.again just google it. Good luck

I recently changed over to Avast - completely free. First time I've ever gone for something free because I've always believed if you want something good, you have to pay for it. But I must admit I am very impressed. No problems at all, but of course, I've got anti spyware, antispam, anti this and anti that.

Antivirus. reliable and loose, plus genuine-time protevtion so it prevents viruses interior the 1st place. do not waste ur time on trials once you may get in simple terms as reliable or extra acceptable products loose

Please do yourself a favour and download aol's antivirus program. It is the best out there, I can assure you of that. Go to www.aol.com and download ACTIVE VIRUS SHIELD. You will not regret it. You then download Spybot Search & Destroy 1.4 and also AdAware. With those three you will be very safe. Please let me know how it went.
