Amy, I lost my virginity the same time my wife did, on the night of our honeymoon. We were both 18. I get a lot of teasing over this but I've only been with two women in my life, and i was married to both of them. I don't believe in sex outside of marriage and I don't believe in the importance people put on it these days. Marriage is much more than just sex . And relationships don't require sex to be strong. But then, I'm from the old school.

My first time was at 15 (I'm 36 now) and it was a horrible experience because I had no clue what to expect. There is a book called the Kama Sutra and it's a manual (for lack of a better word) on how a man and woman are to gradually work up to sex so that it is a pleasant experience for both. I think that whatever you decide, wait until marriage or not, is a good choice because no one can tell you what's in your heart, but have an idea of what you should expect or it could feel like a mistake.

No, I'm not a virgin. I did have sex before I was married and not sorry I did. In all honesty, I wouldn't want to wait until I was married to find out either. I've heard too many horror stories about terrible sex lives when some wait. Of course it's fine for some and good for them if it all works out for them. Personally, I would have to know beforehand to make sure we are compatible in that department and that he could keep up with me.

I am 29(and a half)
I am still not married. I have two kids. I have been pregnant five times, total.(1 m/c before I met my S/O, and 1 m/c after, and one abortion after I had our daughter, and then I had our son, and now my tubes are tied.)
I do NOT think waiting until you are married is crazy at all, and I have a lot of respect for people who chose to do things that way. My parents remained so until they(at least that's what they tell me) got married when they were 20.
Not to mention that waiting until marriage is God's way of doing things.

I lost my virginity at age 32, at the gynecologist's office when the pap smear slipped. After a whirlwind courtship, the swab and I were married. We are expecting our first cotton ball in November.
