I feel that it is and don't see how you can see it otherwise but was wondering am I the only one who feels that way. That to support your family by killing others is okay?
Knowing it doesn't help anyone but could hurt them?

Absolutely! The person who does this is making money off of the suffering of others and is helping them to commit slow suicide.
EDIT: To say "God put everything on the earth to use" is not the same as saying all of the plants in the natural world are healthy for us to ingest. There are many poisons in the natural world. Are we therefore required to ingest all of them?
To the other answerer above me, the fact that tobacco may have an antidote for anthrax does not mean we should grow it to be smoked. No one is suggesting the complete eradication of the species, just a reexamination of its use.

By that notion, people who make or distribute fatty foods are sinning, people who make or distribute alcohol are sinning, people who make or distribute automobiles are sinning, people who make or distribute guns are sinning, etc. etc. The list could go on and on!
I understand your point and if I were a tobacco distributor or processor, I don't know how well I'd sleep at night. The problem is the slippery slope. Where do you draw the line?

Yes it is natural but so is many deadly plants. However, they cure it and dry it knowing it is going to be used as cigarettes.
That to me is a sin and it is not the same as Alcohol. In some cases such as antaseptic or for sores or even having a drink now and then has been shown to be a good thing.
It is the excess of food and alcohol that is damageing.
tobacco in moderation is still harmful to your health.

well maybe everything is ok in moderation..is pure tobacco a poison? if not then that is not a sin

Human body is a very wonderful and the most vasluable property created by God .Any thing which destroys such a costly Property (human body) is a sin.
Tobacco has proved itself to be more harmful to human body and also it has caused millions of people's death .
Hence it is no doubt a sin .

no because using tobacco is not a sin, its unhealthy, but god does not have a problem with it...
