Fecom Fe was available on Dec. 8, 2006. It a spearmint-flavored, chewable ( for women who have difficulty in swallowing medicine) birth control pills( Oral Contraceptive Pills = OCP's). It was actually introduced last Sept. as Ovcon 35 chewable. But, it is now known as Fecom Fe . The pill may be chewed-followed by a full glass (6- 8 ounces) so that the full dose reaches the stomach, with no residue( a portion of the pill) left in the mouth. Or, it can be swallowed whole. Compliance ( take as directed) still needs to be followed. Fe com Fe is a 28 day regimen( schedule), the pack also includes seven brown " reminder" tablets. All 28 tabs contain 75 mg of an iron (Fe) supplement. This a prescription only birth control pill. You can go to your regular Doc or a Gyn ( gynecologist ) to have this prescibed . You will need to be up-to-date on your Pap Smear Test and then will need to take a pregnancy test before you get the prescription. I hope that this helps.

It's a chewable birth control pill for people that cannot swallow a pill, it's new on the market, you need a script and an exam to be started on birth control pills, and most OCP's are 30 dollars a pack, less if you have insurance but because it's new it may not be the drug of cloice for your insurance carrier.

This sounds like a prescription birth control. I would recommend talking to your MD about this issue as well to see what they say.
