If Islam is such a forceful religion, why haven't they tried to convert me?

I posted this in the Religion section earlier, but I think it applies here too. Critics accuse Muslims of converting by the sword, but I've yet to recieve even a soft attempt to convert me. I have been solicited by Mormons, Jehova Witnesses, and Baptists however. I've known many Muslims, but never have they ever expressed even a passing interest at bringing me into their religion

Muslims do not follow Christ.

Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.

(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house


It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.


Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?

(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

No one is going to like this statement. You speak the truth, but it goes against their labeling of Muslims as being the "evil religion". I think it is easier for many to just condem an entire religion than it is to realize that in every religion, there are the fanatic zealots. That creates a grey area, and that makes things much more difficult.

I guess "these people" are the good little pontificating,sanctimonious,holier-than-thou stinking monumental hypocritical CHRISTIANS who in their 2,000 year history have killed,slaughtered,butchered,genocided,lynched,tortured,raped ,enslaved and anihilated millions as they spread their culture and CHRISTIANITY across the world.

I particularily like the way they have been able to genocide indigenous peoples all over the world !!!!! WOW !!!
Or perhaps the example of the HOLY ROMAN CRUSADES is a better example as it was the Muslims that were the victims of us good little Christ like people.

To your question.

The US with it's 89% Christian content and it's historic and current distain of Islam (Nation of Islam etc) ,the US is not a friendly prophesizing target for Muslims.If I was a Muslim in the US ,I would think I was putting my life in danger trying to convert an American for they would have me arrested as a terrorists and sent to GUITMO.

With over one billion adherents,Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and it concentrates it's conversion activity to relatively poor and un-educated areas of the world (JUST LIKE CHRISTIANITY DID AND TRIES TO DO)

As Mormons,JVs and Baptist are essentially all "Christians" ,there is usually nothing problematic about trying to convert people.

I noticed we have a replier "pnac-penelop" spewing her never right wing possibly racist ending lies .She states that there are less than 2 million Muslims in America when in fact there are nearly TEN MILLION !!!!

They aren't ready to pounce yet. Plus they don't like taking in one at a time. They prefer the bulk conversion method, i.e. converting an entire country at a time. It's too time consuming and tedious to do one person at a time.

That's not how they operate. The move into an area and out-populate everyone, then once a majority they demand sharia law. Look into England, its happening now.
In Sweden, they will have a majority by 2020.
