I just want something different. Too many kids are named the same things over and over today.

I guess if no one likes it that is good. I'm sure he won't have to worry someone else having a similar name. I don't think it's nerdy, after all I don't know anyone else named Dexter so I think it's kind of cool. Plus the Romeo part has to do with a family name thing. Bible names are boring, so thumbs down on that!

While Dexter has a strong connotation of being nerdy - Dex sounds really cool.
I would go with Roman instead of Romeo (which either sounds like the tragic Shakespearean Hero or Little Romeo- either way better for a character than a real person).

Gosh I hope your not planning on having one soon!.
Sorry, but I would not name a child Dexter.
In all my years I have never met any one named Dexter... why do you think that is?
You might like it because it's different BUT it is not you that has to live with that name for maybe 80+ years.

That does not sound lyrical at all. Dexter, not too bad, but reminds me of the cartoon and it is sort of rough on the tongue. However he could go by Dex, which sounds pretty good. Romeo! You may as well put a target on his back for future teasing.

I think Dexter is ok - you don't often hear about it. I think it does not sound good paired with Romeo.

Not so much with the Dexter bit, sounds a bit on the geeky/easy to make fun of side.

no good, stick with either a BIBLE name or something reflective of his ancestors. like his great grandfathers name or perhaps one of his uncles. you asked so i am going to be honest, dexter sounds criminally nerdy and romeo will always be a target for teasing
