The Yankees should be put in the bullpen. I don't think he's a starter. I said from the first time I saw him, that is a reliever who could go 2 innings. I see him as the Red Sox Hideki Okajima. I still think he's better than what he is showing.

I'm with Chipmaker on this! Start him more often! Let him break the single season record for innings pitched! The way the Yankee offense is playing they still can win! (Sadly)

Igawa has no trade value! Anyone that thinks the Yankees are getting anyone who will ever play in the Pro's for him is on CRACK!

If this was NFL you would cut him and take the cap hit! MLB contracts are guarenteed so they can't do this! Most likely they will trade him (while paying most or all of his salary!) for some 45 year old Double A backup catcher! Crash Davis, perhaps?

Kei Igawa has the potential to become a great pitcher. He needs to learn how to keep focused, even when he gives up homeruns. Maybe a longer stint in the minors or possibly becoming a short reliever for a while will help him gain the confidence and poise he needs. We don't need another Hideki(Fattoad)Irabu on our hands.

Neither the crimson Sox nor the Yankees are taking the branch identify too heavily. that they had the two particularly get their rotations set for the playoffs than win the branch identify. that's all that's. The Yankees are not in the playoffs yet, yet they have 9 opportunities to get in with the two a win or a Tiger loss, and whether they lose all their ultimate video games and the Tigers win all of theirs, the Yankees nonetheless host a playoff sport for the final playoff spot.

Start him every third game, fourth game at the most.

But then, I don't want the Yankees to win. Using Igawa more often will assist in this worthy goal.

what i would do is leave him in the minors for rest of the season and let him get used to american baseball. then see how he does in spring training. since he is inconstitent (i dont know how to spell it) they should put him in the bullpen as the long guy and phil hughes become part of the rotation

Have him sweep up the stadium. What a waste of money. I could go out there and locate my pitches better than him.

Hand him a tray of hot dogs during the game and a broom afterwards.
