I started lactating the day my daughter was due. The nurse took her out of the room to take some blood from her, as soon as I heard my daughter cry I looked down I my gown was wet from breast milk. Apparently you let-down when you hear your own baby cry.
It really depends on the mom tho, my friend's milk didn't come in at all her first pregnancy.

Good Luck

every woman is different. some start leaking while they are pregnant and some women don't see milk until after the baby is born. the milk can come in anywhere between 2-5 days after birth. before that you have colostrum for the baby.

I had colostrom from about 14 weeks pregnant this time! :S
Around 22 weeks with my first.
I was shocked to find it at 14 weeks in this pregnancy, and it could be expressed :S

Your real milk doesn't come in until about day 3 after you have your baby..and it still isn't mature milk for a week or two.

Everyone is different...some women start during the 3rd trimester and some (like myself) start later. I started 3 days after giving birth.

I started at 5 months- I think it was 22 weeks.
But some women don't and only start leaking after birth, which is fine :)
