Pershing, Lamar & Lanier are all good schools. Carnegie is a Middle School and is an Art Magnet school . Bellaire & Memorial are good High Schools as well. High School for the Performing and Visual Arts is excellent too.

If you live in the Revere Middle/ Lee High School area, consider moving about two miles north to Spring Branch. You get Memorial Middle School and Memorial High School. Just get out of HISD. Even Westside high school is going down hill.

Bellaire High school is probably the most diverse high school in Houston and it is fed from Johnston Middle School which is also very diverse. Johnston ranked 14th in Texas Monthly magazine's statewide school study, Lanier ranked somewhere in the fifties and Pershing ranked in the120's. Lamar is also good, HSPVA is a good high school too.

Memorial and Katy are the two best areas for public schools. My daughter just got into Rice after going through the public school system at Memorial. Lamar is probably the best on the list that you gave. Bellaire has remained a top school.

Lee High School is horrible. I thought they turned it into an alternative school. I went there 20 years ago and it was scarry. Poor teachers, bad area, drugs, gangs etc.... Stay away from that place.

I am an R.E.Lee graduate myself. At that time, that area was upper middle class. Not too sure about that now. Lamar is in a wealthy area, too.
