A-Rod is the youngest player to ever get to 500 homeruns. does this mean he could break the all time homerun record which will most likely be set by Bonds

If he stays healthy, I think so. Alex is in his 14th season and will probably put up at least 10-15 more HR before the season is out. At the end of Bond's 14th season, he had 445.

Another thing to consider is average HR - Barry Bonds during his first 14 seasons averaged 31.8 HR a season. A-Rod is averaging - 38.5

Also keep in mind that A-Rod didn't really play during his first 2 seasons. In the past 12 years, he has averaged - 41.3 HR per season.

Eventually A-Rod will pass Bonds on the list. A-Rod is only 32 and has 500 HR's. Bonds is only going to play at the most 2-3 more years and he will get near 800. If A-Rod plays until he's 42 he will for sure pass Bonds.

It is going to be a real close call if Bonds comes back healthy next year and runs the number up close to 800 himself. A-Rod would also have a shot at 800, if he can stay healthy for the next 7 to 10 years. I would not give A-Rod better than a 50-50 chance of passing Bonds because of everything that can go wrong along the way.

until Arod stops employing HGH then ya he in all probability will. yet particularly the domicile runs isn't what makes bonds great, he's the entire kit. ability, velocity, protection, a good eye on the plate, and with the flexibility to make sturdy touch continually. If Barry didnt have 756 homers and he basically 656 he could nonetheless be the terrific all around participant of all time. verify the numbers Bonds is largely a great participant. His 7 MVP'S arent undesirable the two

Hopefully, A-Rod can break the HR record without a doping controversy.

At his current rate and the possibility that Bond's will retire after this year it is very possible. I say 8 years from now.

Nothing is for sure. Barring injuries, he will do it easily. I have to remind people of Ken Griffey Junior, who was suppose to be breaking all the records but kept getting injured and that is that. I have my fingers crossed for him.

30 Hr's for 10 years should be easy for a player of his caliber.

He should break unless he gets injured.
