I saw the ABC debate this morning and I a very GWB impression - even though he was trying NOT to be like him. I could be wrong, I still got this impression with his political idelogy and his strong religious beliefs. He didn't speak well either. Do voters, Republicans, and people in general like this? If I am wrong, describe how he's different.

Hes trying harder to appeal to the hardline conservatives than Bush ever did (If I recall correctly from the 2000 election).

Bush was pretty well-spoken and somewhat humble in the 2000 race. He let Rove take care of the smear campaigns and all that, didnt do it himself. (You know, John McCains "secret black baby" and all that)

Romney on the other hand, is goin all out with nonsense like "We should double Guantanamo!"

I think hes trying to make up for being a Mormon. Bush is a Baptist if I do recall correctly, and so didnt have to really worry about that aspect of his campaign, but Romney is at a slight disadvantage with the GOP voters because of his religion, and so hes overcompensating.

But really, theyre all the same. Millonaire career politicians who say whatever they have to say to get elected, and then go about their business serving corporations and special interest groups. That goes for the top-tier Democrats as well as the top-tier Republicans. I wouldnt trust any of them with a dog I didnt like.

The one thing Bush, Romney and the rest of them have in common? Theyre all full of sh*t.

I think the Republican party is to blame as a whole for letting someone like Bush get as far as he did and the party needs to sit one or two out to weed out the corporate royalist that has taken over the party. Republicans need to stop fallowing father figures that know best and fallow the peoples will.

got one thing in common; they both PoS.

EDIT: radical? no. the term is right wing reactionary.

(A radical is a person subscribing to a political ideology supporting massive, unmeasured, and rapid change. Radicalism is contrasted with conservatism that advocates minimum change, reactionary action advocating counter-change).

Mitt Romney is against amnesty for illegals and that makes him better than Bush.
