Why can't anyone write songs anymore i.e. Seger, Springsteen,
Cafferty, Jackson Browne, etc?

OH my yes, with todays writers they are trying to make a buck, and do it fast because they know they dont have staying power like the ones you mentioned do....they dont write them with feeling or caring or just for fun ...... I love Seger....... always have............

Seger just released a new album a couple of months ago, haven't heard it yet. Seger is definitely one of the best.

I do miss his talent. I haven't heard his voice now and I wonder if he can still belt out his music with the same passion. His song lyrics were wonderful and he was a true rock artist. The rock music today just doesn't sound the same. One of my favorite songs was "Roll Me Away". I could so relate to that song when I was younger.

Have you never heard of Ari Hest, Beth Orton, Ryan Adams.
James McMurtry, Lucinda Williams, Glen Phillps. There are so many great writers out there today. You need to just look and listen.

Lol..you are dating yourself. No, I don't really miss Bob Seger. I did like the "Night Moves" though.

i think its old age, but i love there music too, maybe they will make a comeback like the beach boys did
