If your left palm itches, it means you should scratch it with your right hand. The reverse would be true if your right palm itched. Seriously, I have heard all my life that if your right palm itched it means you'll soon be shaking hands with a stranger. If the left palm itched, you'd have unexpected money coming your way. Experience, however, has taught me that my initial assertion above is the more accurate.

My mom never said anything about which palm means what. Only that if your palm is itching, that means you will be given money. If your nose itches, that means someone is going to visit you. I would then respond that my butt itches and would ask her what that means.

One palm means money in the other money out but I forget which. I have allergies and sensitive skin where everything make me itch anyway so I don't make much of it.

If the palm of your right hand is itchy, then it foretells that money is coming to you, but don’t scratch it as that stops the money from coming! If it’s your left palm that is itchy, then scratch away, as that means that you'll soon be paying out money.
