Why does disney turn every actress and actor into an artist and release Cd's for them all.
Why can't they just stick to acting instead of milking all the corporate profits out of their stars?
It's not even funny, more like tortuous, it started with Hilary Duff and now there's a huge amount of them on the label.

Blame the Mickey Mouse Club, for starters. That's a variety show where kids sing, dance and act, and look what it's made Britney Spears, Christina Aguliera, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez into.
But seriously, if Disney sees child stars singing in projects (no doubt Hilary was singing in that Lizzie McGuire movie, where her character was mistaken for a pop star) and they think that star has what it takes to carve out a recording career, then they will hand them a record contract. Fans who also persuade the star that put out a record also have a hand in this.

Disney does it as they create big sales by opening alternate markets for their young stars. They have a formula that works and they stick with it until it no longer sells. Remember that you vote for what you like and don't like with your purchasing dollars. The more money these companies make, the more votes the get in favor of the product.

That is so true, I had a conversation with a friend and she said it was pretty cool, that so stupid, and hiliary duff sucks really bad

It is very annoying...half of them can't sing. Hilary Duff is okay though.
