I was wondering, how does the doctor check your HCG levels? Is it through a blood test or urine? I had to submit a urine and blood sample last week and I was curious to know what my levels were. (I can view my results online). Do they check the levels at every appointment? If anyone can tell me what to look for, I'd appreciate it!

They do not check your levels at every visit unless there is a problem in the begining. The urin test just checks to see if you have an HCG level but the blood test actually gives a count. You level should double every couple of days. The labs should say HCG level and then the number.

HCG levels are checked through a blood test. I had my levels checked on Sunday then again on Tuesday to make sure they were going up appropriately. The urine test checks for the presence of HCG, but doesn't tell you how much there is.
