i just built my firts build w an intel core 2 duo and it kicks my friend's amd ***... i've seen diferent thou... so its pretty much an opinion... and what you going to do with the pc... for gaming? are you going to oc? and stuff like that... they have bench marks on both all over the net just do a lot of research i took about two months researching before i went w intel...

The E6600 is definately the better of the two processors, but there is no way it is worth $400 more. If you just went out and bought that processor it would cost about $220, so obviously whoever you are buying from is charging way too much for it. Send me an IM and let me know where you are buying this system from, perhaps I can find one at a better price.

Intel core 2 duo processor E6600 is always better

the e6600 by a longshot. but if you want a good one for a cheaper price try the amd athlon 64 x2 6000+
