If you are not a U.S resident then you can not travel on a one way ticket to the United States. Part of the rules and regulations for entering the states is that you must be in possession of a return or onward ticket. The only exception to this rule is if you are coming to the states to either work or study.

But since you stated you are coming for tourism you must purchase a return ticket.

The visa you require for visting as a tourist for longer than 90 days is a B-2 Visa (Holiday Visa) and all of the relevant information regarding this can be found on the website below.

Best check with the nearest US consulate or embassy: Visas normally apply only to round-trip tickets and vary according to the type of activity you intend to do: tourism, work or study. You want to clear that out before landing or you may not even get off the aircraft

No. often, those visas are in basic terms good for ninety days out of one hundred eighty. a minimum of that's how the Schengen/eu one works...surprisingly specific it somewhat is the comparable with US. it somewhat is too very corresponding to cheating. attempt analyzing the guidance on your visa, earlier asking questions like this...it somewhat is all of the comparable language, you recognize.
