Try drawing a picture. Use one dot for the center of each flower(25 dots). Don't worry about the pots or any other part of the flower. The problem is only asking about the centers of the flowers. in between the dots, draw short lines, one between each pair of dots, until you reach the end of the row. Count the short lines and multipy that number by 8. (If you have done this correctly you will end up with 24 lines) 8*24 should give you 192 inches between the centers of the first and last flowers.
Once you have done several problems like this you should realize that the number of spaces between objects is equal to one less than the number of objects.
ex. 10 flowers, 9 spaces, 8*9=72
21 flowers, 20 spaces, 8*20=160
100 flowers , 99 spaces, 8*99=792
Understand?
Since The problem uses answers but you have to give the answer in feet, just divide by twelve since there are 12 inches in a foot. so 192/12= 16 feet

15.84ft.? I don't know..I'm not sure. I just multiplied 24 and 8 base on the given. 24 because you just need the 2nd half of the first flower and the 1st half of the last flower. To make it easier. draw 25 circles and in between them is 8 in. convert the 8in to ft. because you're looking for ft. then multiply it so that you will have the same base unit which is the metric system? i think. then multiply 24ftx0.66ft=15.84 ft.
That's what I did. When you convert it to inches the answer would be 190.08in.
Hope this helps even though I'm not sure. I converted it because you can't multiple 2 different numbers when it doesn't have the same units.

If there were two, the answer would be 8 inches. If there were three, the answer would be 16 inches (8 times one less than the number). Therefore, with 25, the answer would be 24 X 8 = 192 inches. Divide by 12 = 16 feet

ok.. well this is kinda tough.. n ur wording doesnt rele help.. i dont get the final part.. but hers an attempt:
the ans: 8inches. (8 * (number -1) eg( 8 * (3-1) = 16 . )
the ans shud b 24 * 8 = 192 in. 192/12 =16
divide by 12 to convert inches 2 feet)
