I believe there is sufficient credible evidence that our U.S. government might have participated in - or at least knew about - the 9/11 attacks.
The Bush family had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein (ever since Desert Storm) and Cheney coveted all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands.
Our giant U.S. military-industrial complex needed a new 'war' to boost the sagging profits of companies like McDonnell-Douglass; Sikorsky and Lockheed-Martin.
There were also two 'newcomers' bellying up to the government war trough that needed to capitalize on 'war': the Carlyle Group and Halliburton, both of whom have direct ties to the Bush-Cheney White House.
Bush's friend, Larry Silverstein, needed a way to get out from under the tremendous losses he suffered from the lack of Twin Towers leasing revenues. Bush's brother was head of security at the Twin Towers complex right before the 'terrorist attacks' took place.
Outraged by the 9-11 'attacks', Congress allowed Bush to "go to war" against a sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the U.S.A. Emotionally devastated, the American public let Bush do whatever he wanted, in complete disregard of our laws, our U.S. Constitution, the UN Charter, or the rules of the Geneva Convention.
Yes, I think there's good reason to believe our government was involved. -RKO- 08/05/07

No. every time there's a vacuum of suggestion or something people do not quite understand, people have worry coping. some people, while they arrive across those situations, turn to conspiracy theories. on the time (or maybe nonetheless immediately), many individuals did not understand why the terrorists hate us plenty. people did not understand why the terrorists might attack harmless people in this way of way. between the lack of know-how persons distant places coverage and the recommendations-set of the extremist Muslims, many individuals had no clue to why the terrorists did what they did. The conspiracy theorists cope and clarify those questions by using bobbing up with those theories like the 9/11 conspiracy that blames the government in some way or the Kennedy assassination theories. a number of those people additionally discover it stressful to have self assurance that our government isn't all-effective. They forget approximately that our government is made from people who make blunders, pass over issues or have not got the astonishing foresight to foretell issues like 9/11 (additionally forgetting that hindsight is 20/20). to describe those shortcomings of our government, they rationalize that the government could have had some style of involvement.

I believe that a lot of what we hear are conspiracies. Whether this was or not I don't know. To be honest there is very little that the general public can do even if it was. We are fed the information on what is right and wrong from our governments and most of the media control originated from the Nazi regime in the second world war. We are controlled and are taught what is presumably what we want to hear in order for us to follow. Why is it that all the wars in History were won by the good people? Could it be that the winners just tell us that they are the ones to be trusted? I believe very little and trust very few as people will always lie to get what they want. You could provide as much evidence as you like about the world trade center attack but as I said before, who will believe you? There is no one to prosecute the prosecutor and seeing as Bush rules he can't be touched.

Where there is a massive attack or killing, there will always be conspiracy theories. I don't believe our government did the attack themselves however I do believe that they knew something bad was going to happen and didn't do the proper steps in avoiding it.

However, we must all remember that there are mean people out there. Not everyone is fighting for a just cause. And by that I mean, Sometimes the only aim is to cause harm. We as a society feel the need to blame what we feel we can control. Most feel lost without resolution. However because people who point the finger all the time....they never research all possibilites or aspects.

Don't waste time deciding who is to blame...more energy needs to be placed on understanding why we are the way we are....and realizing that where there is life....there will always be war. Animals are the like. Do research and find that even animals kill for space....love.....and yes....even race.

If the government didn't have anything to do with it then why did george refuse to testify under OATH? Why did dick cheney have to literally hold george's hand during the commission hearings? Yes there is a conspiracy to prevent the truth from being known by the public!

I think one of John Wilkes Booth's decendants hid behind a grassy knoll and took over those aircraft by radio control and flew them into those two buildings. Either that or some people from outer space who have been imprisioned by the government near Roswell, New Mexico escaped and took over those aircraft dressed as Mid Eastern terrorists, flying those aircraft into buildings. I'm not sure which theory I'm going to go with.

Why? What would our govt gain? I have no doubt that it was a conspiracy by the religious jealots like Al Quada. Let's move on. And Kennedy's death was a conspiracy too - right!

As much as it makes me ashamed of our government, I have to agree.

Mr. Bush was a laughing-stock president. No respect and constantly ridiculed for his ignorance and the dishonorable way he was placed in office.

The attack on the WTC stopped us from laughing at him and instilled fear in our country. W liked this. Now instead of laughing at him, a small portion of the population was listening to his well scripted answers to pre arranged questions. All was well for Bush.

I remember him sitting, doing nothing and waiting for his ex-business partner, Osama bin Laden to complete his mission and take out the second tower.

I remember Mr. Bush canceling all air travel in the U.S. the following days after the attack, the only commercial flight he allowed was the one that helped his friend, Osama's family flee the U.S.

I remember Mr. Bush calling for our troops to stand down in 2005, when they had Osama "cold" in the mountain ranges of Pakistan/Afghanistan. So his old friend could escape American justice.

Mr. Bush is NOT playing on our team. I say, don't impeach, don't censure... arrest him for the treasonous slime-ball he is and hold him accountable for his actions, as we are held accountable for ours.

They did in the sense that we allow Saudi arabia to foster and train terrorists. Bush isn't smart enough to have planned the actual attack. But the " war" benefits Bush and Cheney's corporate friends.

Yes...and it was Al Qaeda membership that did the conspiring.
Amazing how some of you just won't give up on the "government led" idea.
