I wouldn't recommend Laganas for families, but if you are after Night Life then it certainly has that! The beach is good and has some water sports on offer. The beach at Tsilivi is lovely too & if you want a speed boat trip - go out to the cove and see the ship wreck! I may be biased cos I had a lovely holiday in Zante when I was 17 and got the best tan of my life - but that was in August! Have fun.

It is the Euro as they adopted it in 2004.

Greece became the tenth member of the European Union on January 1, 1981 and ever since the nation has experienced a remarkable and sustained economic growth

Drachma used to be the Greek currency. However, being Greece a country from the European Union, it uses Euro as its official current currency.

The beach is beautiful, and the place offers more nightlife than you can handle. Lots of English food, British magazines, pubs with wide screen Satelite TVs that play football non-stop, fry-ups, fist fights... If you are into loud drunken Brits, go for it. I hate the place!

Nah, Drachma used to be used but now it's Euro's.
