Here is a link that shows recipes for making your own makeup.

Simple lip Balm

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon grated beeswax
1 vitamin E capsule (400 mg)

Blending Procedure:

Place grated beeswax (or beeswax beads) into a heat proof cup. Add olive oil and liquid from the vitamin E capsule.

Place the heat proof cup into a hot water bath until the beeswax is nearly melted. Remove from heat.

Pour into suitable screw top or other lip balm containers. Allow to solidify and cool before using.

I make my own lip balm (I'm allergic to commercial lip balms like ChapStick). Its pretty easy and leaves my lips feeling really soft and smooth (way better than anything else I've tried! its basically some oil, beeswax, a drop of essential oil, and a little petrolium jelly for added shine). I also make my own foot baths, facials, massage oils, etc. I've never tried making any other actual make up like shadow or blush, though.

petroleum jelly or vaseline (it isn't bad for your lips, only if you become dependent on it which you can with lip gloss or chapstick or whatever)

drops of almond extract or vanilla extract, any kind of extract you can get from the store. Or cocoa powder/butter.

for storage, you can get cheap eyeshadow from the dollar store, clean the little container and put it in there.

it is a little messy to make, and gets oil or grease on everything if you aren't careful.
