If you bothered to check your facts you would find that the mess public healthcare is in the US is largely the result of deliberate dismemberment of the system during the the Reagan and Bush senior administrations, aided and abetted by both parties. Clinton originally tried, not very hard it has too be said, to address the problem, but was sabotaged by a Republican dominated Congress and Senate obssesed with his financial and sexual affairs. So he gave in and followed the lead of your Republican heroes.

Yes, and it's because they don't even need the coverage. Your claim that millions had to choose is false. A 79 year old multimillionaire signs up for Medicare prescription drugs and spends about $5,000 a year on drugs. Meanwhile a Mexican family of ten is trying to live on $25,000 a year and paying taxes to support the drug program in the process.

section D (prescription coverage) is a drop interior the bucket. For all this is progression on the device, Medicare section D nonetheless has huge problems. this is complicated and annoying to digest, for one situation -- no longer something you prefer to spring on an 80 5 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous stroke sufferer whose life relies upon on getting and procuring her maintance drugs. Secondly, some, yet no longer all the previously excluded drugs have been moved from the non-lined to the lined record. in the adventure that your cholesteral med in basic terms happens to be on the non-lined record -- difficult luck. extra sensible start up ingesting catfood, Granny. Thirdly, permit's settle for it. this is a Medicare plan and this is absolute to be a quagmire. have faith me -- I used to paintings for a scientific coverage company that carried a Medicare supplement product. while section D got here on the scene, our Senior plan clientele weren't happy. Neither have been we, because of the fact we had to conform with Medicare rules and that's bushy, to assert the least. Medicare is the 5 hundred lb gorilla of the scientific coverage field. Like Rosie O'Donnell, Medicare is super, this is gruesome, and this is SCREWED UP.
