Anti-hero

She is clearly the good guy of the films, but her actions are definately bad in nature. To be a true hero, your motivations are good and you often react to things that are done to you at the time (like Jason Bourne in Bourne Identity). Beatrix's motivations are revenge, torture and blind hatred over what was done to her in the past. She takes the attack to them.

Definitely not a hero. You can't be a hero when you are only taking care of yourself and looking for revenge. She didn't even care what effect it would have on her daughter to kill her father and she didn't care about the woman who tried to do the same thing she did (give up the life after having a child). She's not really a villain either because she is only killing bad people. Anti-hero is the best description.

She's a hero. She's fighting "bad" people. She'd probably be considered an anti-hero in her former life, depending on who the group was fighting.

I would say vigilante. She took vengence on all the ones who had wronged her or tried to kill her and took away her daughter.
