i am in engineering (manufacturing) field..i got very good orders but workers are not giving output as i want..if they work sencierly i can earn more..laws always fevers workers..not possible to recurit new staff, all workers are working here more than 15 yrs..if i fire them they will ask their rights....i am very depressed ..dont knw what to do? often visits temples and pray to god..but no result...pls tell me what to do? i can see in workshop that what work they are doing in a day it is really just done by few hrs....pls ..pls help me how to settle this

Offer incentives for them to work harder. For instance - if they up the output by 25% in a week, they can have a paid day off. You have to make it worth their while to work harder.

Don't worry.First identified high eifficient employees.Call your meeting.Tell them real position.OurIndustries are competiting with the
other Industries.If every one can work very sincerely able to get better orders.If all are not think,every one life are so difficult.Keep smile infront of the employees.Go and monitor the every
employee production output,take chart daily basis
make data's mistake and highest production output,call meeting end of the week give first prize
to encourage employees.prize them.Develop positive thoughts,request them new creativities.Involve them management decision
making.Tell them every employee 15 years life
growth.Interactive every employee family.Keep
relation with them.Mix with them(families-business
trick)Arrange one year one time tours.Positive thoughts,employee should able to think if company grow owner able to give some profit in
important function.In our company,we frnkly inform them annual meeting if you increase the 10% market business and production ,we give 1%
market profit forward the employee welfare.We
develop the QC circle relation bridge representative both Mgt and worker side.Weekly
prayer meeting both company growth and employees health and growth.If possible provide lunch or refreshment,Co-operative store,if purchase bulk very cheap all material(identify employee provision)they can save 20% cost.Conduct very often meeting,Provide your employees children good school ,talk with local school .Provide toilet facilities.DOn't think one year your profit ,make satisfy one year in your employees.See the result. No dought.100% success.Some bad employees developing wrong opinion,Identify first.Every one think,this is our company,every material ours.Man can do .Read

I agree with minootoo. Profit sharing could also be an incentive. This is a very common problem in small businesses. The only way out is to keep a hawks eye on everyone right from the beginning, now obviously halfway through it would be difficult for you to do so, so the incentive / piece work route may work best for you. Please remember that visiting temples and praying may give you hope and undoubtedly God will give you strength, but only you can, and must physically act to solve your problem. So snap out of your depression - every one has problems, and do something constructive to bail yourself out. Best of luck.

Call a meeting and talk to them, see a labour law lawyer.

If possible put them on piece work, with incentives, base pay basic number of pieces, more pieces more pay base on the pieces produced.
