I don't believe in the concept of soul mates because it's an idealistic dream which prevents people from marrying good people!

A "soul mate" perpetuates the idea that if there's something wrong with an individual then they surely can't be your "soul mate". Many perfectly happy couples who have a fight now and again (which is normal) or where someone has a minor nitpick with their partner end up as broken relationships because someone in the relationship thinks, "This isn't my soul mate."

Hollywood likes to paint this perfect picture of a matching individual but in reality there are so MANY people out there who are great mates!!!

What you should be doing is finding someone whom you love, cherish (you never want to live without them), respect and most importantly ... have fun with!

So to answer your question more directly ... no ... I don't believe that everyone has a sole (as in one) or soul mate because it's far too limiting an idea! Look around you ... that not so perfect person can be more perfect than you think!

I think there is something fishy in having a sole for a mate. But if you mean soul mate- yes we do and sometimes we have many, sometimes we take ages to find him/her, but when we do we sure know it. It doesn't have to be a lover either- it can just be a really good friend.

yes I do, but then I come from a long line of long marriages with no divorces in our family outside of my generation. I married my wife 22 years ago, we were definitely made for each other, we often finish each others statements, or one of us will make a comment about anything and the next words said by the other is almost always, " I was just going to say that" We are in tune with each other and thoroughly enjoy each other. When we walk together anywhere, we always hold hands. We have had comments from passer bys that they can see that we truly are one. How you find your sole mate is a really good question, but he /she is definitely out there and probably looking for you.

Anyone can be your soul mate for today and for a year or two. But not everyone can be that person who will be able to live with you for 50 years, that takes more than being a soul mate.

For every left shoe there is a right sole mate.

For people and soul mates, I think not, since there is no soul, the concept of soul mate must also be false.

Love is cool though, so go look for it.

I love a good pair of shoes!

Seriously though, I do not believe in soul mates. I think far too much goes into making a relationship work than simply being "meant to be together." People should give themselves more credit--relationships work because YOU make them work, not fate or destiny.

Sole as in fish or soul as in body? If you mean a soulmate then I think that there is more than one human on the planet for each of us - it just depends on who gets there first!
