Yes, every time some one shoplifts the store has to up the prices of their goods. Retail looses millions of dollars a year to shoplifters. That means less hours for the employees and less money to live on.

Actually I was in a Safeway
when a lady I was with was helping herself
to food from the bulk bins, I went away quietly
but I went to tell that lady was stealing
The person I told I was able to read my
body language, and facial expression
but I said the situation.

Well, me and my family were in an outlet store and I saw someone trying on shoes. I got this weird feeling in my stomach, (as I always do when I know somethings going to happen), and I looked at my parents, who were happily shopping. I didn't think much of it until I saw the guy walking towards the door just as we were, with the shoes on. The employee must have caught the sight and tried to get him...but she didn't. They caught up with him right after he left the outlets...

So yeah, in that case, I didn't have to, but I would've...

♥~

definitely, as each shoplifter increases the losses to the storeowner so he puts up his prices to cover his loss . So in effect that shoplifter is hurting all of us honest shoppers.

Of course! I have done it before. I also confronted a man who stuck a bottle of wine down the front of his pants, when I was working the cash register. He put the bottle back and disappeared, never came back while I was working a shift.
