Better get someone who really knows carbs to help you. On my 1100 Shadow, we installed one size larger jets (the front and back carbs are one size different, by the way) shimmed up the needles a bit and drilled the lead EPA plugs out so the mixture could be fine-tuned...might not need to change air cleaners...depends on the fuel-air flow when you get everything else done. K ;o)

I had the local bike shop put a set of Cobra pipes and a new jet kit on my bike and thats all I had them do, just make sure that after you run it for awhile that you go back and retighten everything.

need to drill out the plugs over the idle mixture screws so you can richen up idle mixture. a K and N air filter also.might need to shim the needles as well also I think the front and rear jets are a differant size

Go with a K & N filter set up if it didn't come with the jet kit.

always a good idea to go to a better, high volume air cleaner too. You need to get more air into that motor to perform better
