I just put Chem's in the pool to kill all the green junk. Now the water is just cloudy and the green is gone. How can I get rid of the cloudy water? What should I add and so forth? In a little pool, about 1300 gallons of water.

Please and Thank You!!

Almost impossible to know without a good test kit. Get yourself a test kit and test your water. Then take the results to your nearest pool chemical place and ask them for some help if you are having trouble understanding the results.

It could be a few things.
Check the pH of the water and adjust if needed.
Also check your chlorine level. over chlorinating can cause cloudy water.
You also ma have particulates in the water that the filter can not clean out. Have your water tested at a pool supply store, its usually free. You may have to get something called flocking. This bonds with the particles and makes them sink to the bottom. Then you vacuum them out on discharge.
At worst, if you have a diatomacious earth filter, make sure none of the webbing inside the filter is torn. If the D.E. gets into the pool it is a royal pain to get out. An easy way to find this problem is to turn off the filter. Leave it off for about 2 hours and be sure the pool is calm. Then turn on the filter and watch the return ports. If it is the earth from the filter you will see a white puff come out of the returns.
Good luck

The cloudy color is a fine grain precipitate that will ultimately settle out or get collected on the filter.

I suspect you used Calcium Hypochlorite for the chlorine source and have a calcium salt deposit. Double check the pool pH as this may help reduce cloudiness.
