The media always takes a big story and never lets it die. I mean unless you hide under a rock, everyone has heard it by now so stop giving us up to the second updates. Let's not forget the other things that got ran in the ground, Anna Nicole Smith, Paris Hilton in jail, OJ Simpson, and if anyone lives in Memphis...the corrupt politicians.

Have respect for the families who still don't have answers about their loved ones. People are still missing and the list is growing. Don't you dare say that we need to move on from this when some families literally can't because the person they love is still under that bridge. If you don't care, don't watch it. I live here and we are far from moving past this. Even if you don't care about the human aspect of this tragedy, at least acknowledge that this was the most important and well-used stretch of road in our state and it's a big deal that we no longer have that bridge. But the families come first. Have respect for them.

This is a pretty big story, more for its implications rather than the story itself. Every city in America is taking a look at its infrastructure right now, and many aren't liking what they see. This could lead to huge expenditures on every level of government in the near future.

The bridge's collapse obviously was a dramatic moment with great pictures, but there are other reasons why we'll be hearing about it for months.
