7 MVPs, 2 batting Titles, 8 Gold Gloves, .298 Career batting average, .444 career OBP, 2912 career hits, 1980 career RBI's, 755 Home Runs.
He should definitely be in the hall of fame.
To all those who say he cheated, how do you know who did and didn't use steroids in baseball? How do you know Tony Gwynn or Cal Ripken didn't use steroids? How do you know that the Pitchers Bonds went up against weren't on steroids? Just because some players didn't break any records, does not mean they didn't use steroids. The league did not do any testing throughout the '90s, there is no way of knowing who did and didn't use steroids. But you think that the greatest hitter of the era doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame? That is completely outrageous.

I'm not a Giant fan.
I think Bonds will probably go in. There are a lot of writers who've said the standard they will use for steroids guys is whether the guy would have been good enough if he didn't use steroids. I don't think anyone has accused Bonds of using steroids before 1999. He would win the award for best player in baseball in the 1990's even if you completely ignored his 1999 season.
I think the only way you can vote against Bonds is if you consider steroid use justification for an automatic no vote. A recent survey of writers found that about 80% would vote for him, which is just barely enough for him to get in. That would be historically low for a player with Bonds' numbers, but enough to get him in.

I am not a giants fan and feel bad that Barry is so weak a human being that he couldn't see others cheating and getting the spotlight, so he had to cheat himself.
However, since you can't contribute everything he has done to steroids, you have to a personal decision (if you were the writers with a vote) on what portion of his career are you going to discount and at what rate.
I believe steroids helped him with about 90 home runs. The threat of the home run gave him walks and the HRs got him some rbi's. It probably hindered stolen bases and perhaps minorly affect some batting average.
However, even if these #'s are discounted, he still is a HOFer.

I'm def. not a giants fan - straight cleveland fan.
Barry Bonds is probably the best baseball player ever. He has many gold gloves, a couple hitting titles, and 2 time MVP as well as he made the allstar team mostly every year hes played. He is one of five players in the 40 40 club, which is an incredible feat. In my opinion, he should not just go in the hall of fame, but as one of the best ever.

There is no question in my mind that he will. He is probably one of the five best players of all time and I don't believe anything will ever come to light that will keep him out. By the way I am a Dodgers fan and not a Giants, or Bonds, fan.

Unfortunately, yes he will. He might even get in on the first try.
Baseball has become an abomination, and there is nothing about it that I can support. I have only the game itself to enjoy and I enjoy what I can see of semi-pro, high school, and A-League baseball.

yeah, they will let barroid go in, but as we saw with McGwire last year, it might not be on the first ballot, but Bonds stats are just a bit higher than big mac's, so i doubt it
