Studies show that tall men (6'0"+) and short women (5'0"-5'3") have the most "reproductive success" (i.e. they are more sexually attractive). Just curious as to why this is and if its more cultural or biological?

As a short woman, I never thought this was the case. I always wanted to be taller because I thought that would make me seem more attractive. I'm 5'1" and always wanted to be atleast 5'7" - mostly becuase petite, slender women tend to look years younger. I am 26 and get mistaken for 15-16 all the time.
Also: "attractiveness" has NOTHING to do with sexual reproduction.

Women want men with status, so on average taller men fit the bill. Men, want shorter women to feel like they have status. There's also delayed fertility among tall women.
The rules are not 100% applicable all the time though - I'm average height and more attracted to taller women.
Most of reproduction is biological. Culture isn't strong enough to override standard survival cues that have formed and evolved the species for eons.

I think the answer is more biological.
As a species, humans exhibit sexual dimorphism - men, on average, are larger and taller than women. These are traits that have been selected for over countless generations - a larger male is better able (presumably) to fight off, or at least intimidate, a smaller one when it comes to competing for mates, and so there's a selection advantage for size. That's gotten hard-wired into our preferences - females like bigger males because they are likely to be more successful and higher status.
Males like smaller females because they are less intimidating - you're less likely to be injured by an angry small female than you are by an angry larger female.

Women in general prefer men taller than themselves (discrimination against short men). So the short girls are probably going after the tall dudes. That and its probably alot harder for them to talk down to and be bitchy to a guy whos that much taller than they are which leads to happier relationships.

Men who are genitally "larger" have more sexual partners and more offspring than normal or smaller males. This is probably a confidence issue. Tall women may look good but are not as good in bed for the average male. Most men realise this pretty quickly. More sex equates to more reproductive success. Pelvic floor exercises help to keep a man.
