It depends.
Are they rude in the face of stupidity or just rude for rudeness sake?
Poor examples:
rude for rudeness sake-
man holding watch to his ear: Do you know what time it is?
rude person: Time for you to get a new watch, loser.
man looking at watch, then at clock, then at third clock further away: Is it really 11:30?
rude person: No, they just set the clocks that way to confuse you.
The first one, no. The second one, yes.

I think that being rude is the biggest turn off for me. There is no need to be a jerk to anyone especially if that person is being nice to you. But what can't help that we have so many unhappy people in this world.

Sometimes. To be honest, I prefer kind, mostly polite people, who don't mind being honest and don't care if sometimes that is perceived as RUDE.
