No, I think they weren't popular enough because some people didn't understand their music and talent, alot like how today quite a few people listen to crap meaningless music instead of real music, written by the band or singer instead of some ghostwriter.

Kraftwerk brought us Devo though thankgod, love them spuds!

Nah.....i liked kraftwerk. What they needed was a better manager and PR rep. Oh, and a little more talent wouldn't have hurt.

No, cos when they came out music videos weren't even a "thing" then......

Their music was good, more importantly they influenced some really amazing bands.......

you can be innovative without being popular...devo, trower...but they left their mark. kraftwerk are innovative, ground breaking and influential, the grandfathers of techno.
